- He buys the scribes with gadgets, free journeys, and monthly stipends, binding them to tell his tale.
- He signs his name upon every ribbon and every stone, that none forget the hand of the Epal.

II. The Host of Serfs
Thus, the Serfs took their places:
- The Paid Voter, whose voice is sold at election’s dawn and whose pledge is exchanged for a coin.

- The Grateful Recipient, who calls the Benefactor “Honourable” and stands beside him in every portrait.
- The Zealous Reactor, who clicks “like,” “love,” or “angry,” fueling the echo chamber with fervent devotion.
- The Court Bard, whose columns praise sponsored voyages and gifts, weaving sugar-coated truths amid falsehoods.

- Outrage Is the Echo Chamber’s Song—Noise drowns out the whisper of wisdom.
- Poverty as Backdrop—The poor stand at center stage, yet the stage never changes.
- Truth Peddled as Gossip—Misinformation walks hand in hand with applause.
